President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearances of numerous current and former government officials who have been accused of extreme partisanship, including state prosecutors responsible for controversial cases against the 45th and 47th president.

According to the Daily Caller, some of the officials affected by the new order include New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-N.Y.), Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D-N.Y.), and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. A total of eight officials saw their clearances revoked.

President Trump had previously announced the revocation of the security clearance of Joe Biden, citing Biden’s increasingly apparent cognitive decline.

Attorney General James and District Attorney Bragg had repeatedly vowed to use their offices to target then-candidate Trump in the midst of the 2024 election, bringing charges against him that were widely denounced as being politically motivated. Bragg indicted President Trump on charges of “hush money” during the 2016 campaign, for which the president was convicted by a jury in the notoriously Democratic district of Manhattan.

Others who saw their clearances revoked in the latest order include former Biden Administration National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and former Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco.

As a result of these revocations, those impacted will no longer receive intelligence briefings, and will also no longer be allowed inside federal buildings.
