Billionaire Elon Musk on Wednesday blasted what he called “a racist verdict by a racist judge” after two teenagers who were part of a violent mob that attacked a former DOGE staffer received minor slaps on the wrist in court.
The August 3 attack on Edward “Big Balls” Coristine happened at approximately 3 a.m. in a Washington D.C. parking garage after “a gang of about a dozen young men tried to assault a woman in her car,” Musk explained on X at the time. “A @Doge team member saw what was happening, ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion, but he saved her,” he added.
Coristine, 19, later told Fox News’s Jesse Watters that he felt “fortunate” because he only suffered a broken nose and concussion, but “it could have been a lot worse.”
The brutal assault was the catalyst for President Trump’s Executive Order cracking down on crime in the nation’s Capital.
“Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control. Local “youths” and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens, at the same time knowing that they will be almost immediately released,” Trump posted on Truth Social on August 5, along with a photo of the bloody and battered victim.
A male and female, both 15, pleaded guilty to simple assault in a Washington, D.C., court on Tuesday, and were sentenced to probation, WUSA9 reported. Their accomplices in the attempted carjacking and savage assault remain at large.
“This was a racist verdict by a racist judge,” Musk complained on X. “The simple test to apply is if the races has been reversed, the White kids would be in prison,” he added. “Equal justice for all!”
With his distinctive screen name, the youthful Coristine was one of the more notorious figures of DOGE, which was tasked with cutting jobs and slashing the federal bureaucracy. He now reportedly works for the Social Security Administration.
“To this day, they’ve only caught two out of the ten. Eight of them remain on the street,” Coristine posted on X, Wednesday. “That night could’ve gone far differently. Think of your daughters and mothers. The same group attacked people before and after us, breaking ribs and stomping heads,” he added. “This senseless crime must be stopped.”
The names of the two perps, who live in the urban D.C. suburb, Hyattsville, Maryland, have not been released as they are both minors.
The boy will serve a 12-month probation and was placed under strict house arrest, while the girl will reportedly serve a nine-month probation and be remanded to a local youth shelter, according to the New York Post.
Judge Kendra Briggs reportedly ordered the teens not to “contact each other or spend any time in the District outside of school, job or family obligations,” and stated that “the purpose of juvenile court is to rehabilitate, not to punish.”
Briggs said she hoped the teens would learn from their probationary sentence.
“I hope you can figure things out and be ready for the consequences,” Coristine reportedly told the defendants after the sentencing.
