

At least three people were killed and multiple others injured in a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, Monday morning.
At 10:57 a.m., the Madison Police Department (MPD) reportedly received a call that there was an active shooting at the school. Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said when officers arrived, they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Abundant Life Christian School is a non-denominational K-12 school serving approximately 390 students, according to its website.
Officers from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) were also on the scene.
Barnes said officers located a juvenile who is believed to be responsible for the shooting deceased in the building. He also told reporters that officers administered lifesaving procedures to the injured before they were transported to the hospital.
The chief said three people were reported to have died, including the shooter. A reporter at the scene said the number of fatalities had risen to five. News3 is currently reporting “three dead, six injured.”
The chief said he didn’t have any additional information about the people who lost their lives, including the shooter, who is believed to have been a student.
