Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has asked the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to drop its charges against a Utah plastic surgeon who is charged with fraudulently issuing Covid vaccine cards to the unvaccinated.

Dr. Michael Kirk Moore, of Salt Lake City, was charged by the Biden DOJ with conspiracy to commit fraud against the United States and faces up to 35 years in prison for destroying thousands of vials of the controversial vaccine while giving patients vaccine cards without them receiving the shot.

Moore is also accused of administering saline shots to children instead of the vaccine, at the request of their parents.

Rep. Greene defends Dr. Moore’s actions and says, “This man is a hero, not a criminal” for helping people avoid vaccine mandates implemented under the Biden administration.

Greene went on to say, “The Covid vaccine kills and injures people, but this brave doctor, who is a veteran by the way, is being prosecuted for helping people avoid tyrannical vaccine mandates under Democrats.”

A federal grand jury indicted Moore in January 2023 after prosecutors claimed that Moore destroyed roughly $28,000 worth of government-provided Covid-19 vaccines and distributed more than 2,000 fake Centers for Disease Control (CDC) vaccination cards.

The cards were allegedly exchanged for direct cash payments or for making a donation to a specified charitable organization.

Moore and three other defendants from his medical practice are charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to convert and sell government property, and aiding and abetting the unlawful disposal of government supplies.

Moore’s supporters say he was helping people who didn’t trust the vaccine and its reported side effects and who were trying to get a vaccine card so they could return to work.

Curt L. Muller, Special Agent in Charge with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, stated, “By allegedly falsifying vaccine cards and administering saline shots to children, this provider not only endangered the health and well-being of a vulnerable population but also undermined public trust.”

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had commented in a post on X in April 2025 that Moore deserved a medal for his courage.
