Americans re-elected Donald Trump for many reasons, but, arguably, one of the main ones was his promise to get the out-of-control situation on the southern border under control.

But because it has been out of control for the past four years, millions of people—tens of thousands of them violent criminals—have already crossed the border into the U.S.

Including members of the brazenly violent Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua.

Laken Riley’s killer, Jose Ibarra, has connections to the gang; members of the gang infamously tried to take over an entire apartment complex in Aurora, CO; just two weeks ago, three Tren de Aragua gangsters were arrested in connection with a murder in North Texas by Homeland Security Investigations and the Dallas Violent Gang Task Force.

A group of them pummeled New York City cops in broad daylight.

This is happening in towns and cities all over America—and getting that under control is a job that will largely fall to local and state law enforcement.

This will be more than just a job, too—because these Tren de Aragua gangsters have a record of targeting law enforcement in Venezuela. And—according to an article published by the Federation for Immigration Reform—they have been given the “green light” by the gang’s leadership to “attack and open fire on law enforcement officers” in the United States.

This is an unprecedented escalation in gang tactics—and it is a danger to American law enforcement for more than just the obvious reasons.

A less obvious reason is that most cops—especially local county and city cops—do not have body armor adequate to stop fire from high-powered rifles. Their vests are designed mainly to absorb the ballistic impact of handgun fire. But a 7.62×39 round fired from an AK-47 rifle or a .223 high-velocity round from its American counterpart, the AR-15—packs a much harder punch. One that can end the life of an American sheriff or county/city cop who finds himself taking fire from a well-armed gangster.

Both the AK platform and the AR-15 rifles can fire 30 or more rounds before the shooter must stop to reload (or rack a fresh magazine into the weapon). And all it takes is one round to end the life of an American first responder.

Some small-town cop shops don’t even have vests because they never needed them before now. Small towns—like Aurora, CO, for instance—didn’t use to have to deal with brazenly violent street gangs from Venezuela because Border Patrol kept them out of the country. Even big city cops didn’t have to deal with this threat until recently because not even gangs like MS-13, the El Salvadoran gang most Americans have heard about, target cops.

That was too much even for them.

But it’s just business for Tren de Aragua.

And it makes sense—from the viewpoint of Tren de Aragua gangsters. Why allow yourself to be arrested for drug trafficking—or human trafficking, another specialty of this particular gang—when you can just murder the cop who is coming to arrest you? Given that many of these gangsters are already wanted for murder, it makes even more sense to murder the cop.

What’s one more body added to the count?

The knowledge that these gangsters are literally gunning for law enforcement also serves as a deterrent—to law enforcement. It makes them understandably reticent to risk their lives—especially when the deck is stacked against them.

That is why it is so important that law enforcement at all levels be equipped with the proper gear to go to war—and that is what we are facing—with these gangsters. That gear includes a tactical vest that can protect law enforcement personnel against high-powered rifle rounds.

Active Shooter Vests supplied by InVestUSA can do exactly that. And at no cost to the officer or agency. InVestUSA is “a 501(c)(3) non-profit partnering with the grassroots community to provide body armor” to law enforcement that hasn’t got it but needs it.

And hasn’t the funding for it.

The funds are raised via programs such as Bless the Vest, which works with churches and other religious institutions to help raise the funds needed to buy vests for law enforcement. Another program, Pennies for Police, “allows young people of all ages to take pride and ownership in their school resource officer by engaging their schools, youth organizations, etc., to bring their Pennies (coin change they are given around the house) for Police to provide and present a vest for the officer charged with protecting them.”

This is how Americans can help fight back against what has been done to America over the course of the past four years by the Biden-Harris regime. And it will help incoming President Trump deal with the crisis inside the border, which isn’t going to be handled by getting control of the border.

We must regain control of America—and make America safe again.
