Accused Salvadorian gangbanger, human trafficker and wife beater, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials Monday morning after he arrived for a check-in at the agency’s field office in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Today, ICE law enforcement arrested Kilmar Abrego Garcia and are processing him for deportation,” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced in a statement on X.

“President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer.”

After his deportation to El Salvador in March, Democrats argued that he was “wrongfully deported” and fought to have him returned to the United States.

The Trump administration returned Abrego Garcia to the United States in June to prosecute him on human smuggling charges stemming from a 2022 traffic stop in Tennessee.

“Our government presented El Salvador with an arrest warrant and they agreed to return him to our country,” said Bondi on June 6.

He remained in federal custody until Friday, when he was released and ordered to return to Maryland, where he remained under electronic surveillance while awaiting trial.

Immigration officials said over the weekend that they would move to deport Abrego Garcia to Uganda, after he reportedly declined an offer to be deported to Costa Rica in exchange for remaining in jail and pleading guilty to human smuggling charges.

ICE officials notified Abrego Garcia’s attorneys shortly after his release on Friday that they planned to deport him to Uganda, an East African nation that reached a deal with the U.S. last week to accept migrants deported by the Trump administration, Fox News reported.

ICE’s Office of the Principal Legal Adviser reportedly stated in a notice that “DHS may remove your client, Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, to Uganda no earlier than 72 hours from now (absent weekends).”

In response to his latest arrest, Abrego Garcia’s lawyer, Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg, claimed ICE officials had neglected to tell them why Abrego Garcia was arrested and where he was being detained.

“As of the last five minutes, Mr. Abrego Garcia has filed a new lawsuit in the federal district court for the District of Maryland challenging his confinement and challenging his deportation to Uganda, or to any other country, unless and until he’s had a fair trial — as in, an immigration court, as well as his full appeal rights,” Sandoval-Moshenberg told reporters and demonstrators outside the ICE Field Office in Baltimore.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, who has presided over the deportation case since March, issued an order last month “to block ICE from immediately arresting Abrego Garcia,” according to Fox.

A conservative reporter asked President Trump Monday why Democrats are so “emotionally attached” to an alleged gangbanger, human trafficker and wife beater.

“Because they think he’s going to be good for votes,” Trump replied. The president spoke to reporters after signing multiple executive orders related to fighting crime.

“I think he’s very bad for votes,” Trump added.  “He beat the hell out of his wife … she’s been mauled by this animal.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi also noted that Abrego Garcia smuggled both adults and children.

Sunday night, Trump’s border czar Tom Homan told Fox News that Abrego Garcia was “absolutely” going to be deported to Uganda.

“We have an agreement with them. It’s on a table, absolutely,” Homan said in an interview on Fox’s “The Big Weekend Show.”

“He is absolutely going to be deported from this country. He is not going to walk the streets of this nation,” Homan stated flatly, adding:  “For now, Abrego Garcia “can enjoy the little time he has with his family. And for the person who says we’re not going to separate family, his family can go with him, because he’s leaving.”

“He is absolutely going to be deported,” Homan stressed. “Look, he’s a criminal alien. He’s a member of MS-13 which is now a designated terrorist. He’s a wife beater, he’s a human trafficker, he’s been indicted for human trafficking alien smuggling,” Homan continued. “He’s a bad person. He’s not going to be here.”

Homan pointed out that Abrego Garcia has now been ordered by two judges to be deported.

“He’s going to leave this country in the very near future and his family can go with him,” he reiterated.
