Former Biden White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Wednesday she has switched parties to independent and has written a book about her time flacking for the “broken Biden administration.”
“Until January 20, I was responsible for speaking on behalf of the President of the United States,” the longtime Democrat Party operative said in a statement. “At noon on that day, I became a private citizen who, like all Americans and many of our allies around the world, had to contend with what was to come next for our country. I determined that the danger we face as a country requires freeing ourselves of boxes. We need to be willing to exercise the ability to think creatively and plan strategically.”
Her book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” is due out in October. A description of the book says it will detail “the three weeks that led to Biden’s abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision.”
In a video posted to Instagram, Jean Pierre described her book as an attempt to provide a way forward for Americans who want to know how to protect “our Democracy” and “vulnerable communities” from the “regressive” Trump administration.
The nation’s first “openly queer” White House Press Secretary suggested she was able to come up with an answer to these concerns by following her own moral compass.
As press secretary, Jean-Pierre was known for telling obvious lies when asked unscripted questions, and for being a central figure in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline.
For instance, when questioned about Biden’s ability to serve a second term on CNN’ in 2022, she gushed: “Oh my gosh. He’s the President of the United States. I can’t even keep up with him.”
A cascade of tell-all books about the corrupt and incompetent Biden-Harris White House have been released since Trump returned to office, including Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s “Original Sin,” which accuses the Biden White House of covering-up Biden’s obvious mental decline.
Despite her recent history of habitually misinforming the public, Jean-Pierre asserted that Americans are currently living “in an era of misinformation, disinformation, [and] the regressiveness of social policy” under the Trump administration.
“What I have decided to do, and I really have thought long and hard about this, is to follow my own compass. That’s what I’ve done and that’s what this book does,” she said.
Jean-Pierre, who has a long history of denying the results of elections won by Republicans, who previously served as Press Secretary to disgraced Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner, was a spokeswoman for the far-left MoveOn advocacy group and worked for Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, as well as for the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign, said that if fellow Americans stop being “so partisan” and learn to accept people like her, she will “be there” and “move forward” with them.
“The way that I see moving forward in this space that we’re in right now is if you are willing to stand side-by-side with me, regardless of how you identify politically, and as long as you respect the communities that I belong to, and vulnerable communities that I respect, I will be there with you, I will move forward with you,” she said. “And that is I think so important,” she added. “This book “Independent” is about looking outside of boxes, not just always being in a partisan stance and how do we move forward together in a compassionate way, in a way that really, truly cares about people.”
