White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre seemed to dismiss concerns about increased hostility toward Jewish people Monday after a reporter asked if the administration was worried about a potential rise in anti-Semitism in the United States. In response, Jean-Pierre said that Muslims—not Jews “have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks.”

As the Israel-Hamas war enters its third week, disturbing reports from all over the country are revealing that many leftists and Islamists harbor genocidal hatred toward the Jewish people. Many of them have openly celebrated the October 7 massacre in Israel on social media.

In a viral post on TikTok, a young Jewish woman explained how every day she struggles to decide whether she should wear her Star of David necklace inside or outside of her sweater.

Left-wing, pro-Hamas activists in cities from New York to California have been filmed tearing down posters of Israeli hostages off of walls and telephone posts. When confronted, the activists invariably claim that the reports about the slaughter and kidnappings of innocent civilians are “fake news.” Or they try to justify their actions, by saying that Palestinian civilians are being bombed in Gaza.

This morning, amid allegations that the Israeli government exaggerated the Oct. 7 carnage,  officials presented graphic footage of Hamas’s brutal attack for the press. “What we shared with you, you should know it,” an Israeli official said, according to the Atlantic in its post: A Record of Pure, Predatory Sadism.

As reports about Hamas’ unimaginably cruelty spread throughout social media, Monday, the White house press secretary thought it was a good idea to downplay reports of anti-Semitism in the United States.

“What is [Biden’s] level of concern right now about a potential rise of antisemitism?” a reporter asked Jean-Pierre at the White House press briefing.

“We have not seen any credible threats,” she began. “But look, Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks,” she added inexplicably.

“And certainly President Biden understands that Arab-Americans and Palestinian-Americans and neighbors and loved ones are worried about the hate being directed at their communities,” Jean-Pierre continued,  still completely ignoring the issue of anti-Semitism.

Toward the end of her answer, Jean-Pierre finally acknowledged that Jewish Americans may potentially feel threatened, along with Muslims and Arab-Americans.  Joe Biden “has directed his Homeland Security team to prioritize prevention and disruption of threats that could harm the Jewish, the Muslim, Arab American, or any communities,” she said.

The White House’s apparent lack of concern about anti-Semitism in the wake of the Hamas attack stands in sharp contrast to it’s actions following reports last December that white supremacist Nick Fuentes visited Mar-a-Lago.

“Amid a surge in hateful rhetoric and violence, President Joe Biden on Monday formed a new interagency group to develop a national strategy to combat antisemitism,” PBS reported at the time.

Led by the White House Domestic Policy and National Security councils, the new group will consult with community leaders, government officials, lawmakers and activists as it drafts a national strategy to tackle antisemitism and Holocaust denial.

The action follows on Biden’s public commitment to healing the “soul of the nation” after seeing hate groups marching in Charlottesville, Virginia, with torches and swastikas in 2017, an episode that propelled his run for the White House.

“This strategy will raise understanding about antisemitism and the threat it poses to the Jewish community and all Americans, address antisemitic harassment and abuse both online and offline, seek to prevent antisemitic attacks and incidents, and encourage whole-of-society efforts to counter antisemitism and build a more inclusive nation,” Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

In May of 2023, the Biden regime released a “fact sheet” on its “First-Ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.” The administration announced that its “whole-of-society call to action” included a number of nonprofit and activist groups.

Among the their partners, according to Tablet, is the anti-Semitic Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was established in 1994 by senior Hamas operative Mousa Abu Marzook and once functioned as Hamas’ public relations and recruitment arm in the United States. CAIR has long argued that U.S. foreign policy is dictated by Zionist extremists.
