An unidentified left-wing agitator threw rocks at and set fire to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office building in Yakima, Washington over the weekend, in what authorities see as a continuation of a dangerous trend of anti-ICE violence.

“On Saturday, a cowardly rioter threw a rock through a window of a building that ICE has a sub-office in,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated on X. “Additionally, a small fire was set at the back of the building.”

Photos from the scene posted online show a broken window and damage inside the facility from a thrown rock.

Other photos show a grassfire behind the chain link fence that surrounds the building and smoke billowing above.

There were no injuries reported and an investigation into the act of arson is ongoing, DHS said.

Homeland Security pointed out on X that the anti-ICE rhetoric of left-wing extremists and their enablers in Congress have contributed to the violence.

“From comparisons to the modern-day Nazi gestapo to glorifying rioters, the violent rhetoric of sanctuary politicians is beyond the pale,” the DHS statement said. “Our ICE law enforcement is now facing an 830 percent increase in assaults against them. Secretary Noem has been clear: Anyone who seeks to harm law enforcement officers will be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The arson attack on the ICE building in Washington is the latest in a string of attacks against immigration and law enforcement.

On July 15, an ICE officer in Dallas, Texas,  sustained serious injuries after being dragged behind an illegal alien’s vehicle for more than a block.

On the 4th of July, heavily armed antifa agitators from the Dallas-Fort Worth ambushed an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, setting off fireworks to lure police to the scene and shooting a responding officer in the neck.

On July 7, a gunman armed with tactical gear and a rifle opened fire upon Border Patrol agents at the entrance of a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, injuring two police officers and a Border Patrol employee.

And in June, federal agents had to be deployed to squash a violent antifa uprising against an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon.

“Targeted attacks against our ICE officers and facilities are reprehensible,”  ICE posted on X, Tuesday. “But they will not stop ICE from enforcing immigration law. The arrests  .”
