The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Sunday that last week’s raid on marijuana farms in California resulted in at least 361 arrests of criminal illegal aliens and the rescue of 14 minors from child trafficking and forced labor.
On July 10, 2025, U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers executed criminal warrant operations at “marijuana grow sites” in Carpinteria and Camarillo, California.
In a press release, DHS stated that “at least 14 migrant children have been rescued from potential exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking.”
“We take our responsibility to protect children seriously and will continue to work with federal law enforcement to ensure that children are safe and protected,” said DHS said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on X, Monday.
DHS highlighted a few of the most “violent and dangerous criminal illegal aliens” arrested by ICE and CBP during the operation, including a child sex predator:
• Roman Izquierdo—an illegal alien from Mexico—who has been convicted of kidnapping, attempted rape and attempted child molestation. ICE previously deported him in 2006.
• Juan Duarte-Velasquez—an illegal alien from Mexico—who has been convicted of rape and a DUI.
• Jose Orellana—an illegal alien from El Salvador—who has been convicted of a DUI and a hit-and-run with property damage.
• Adriana Gonzalez-Gonzalez—an illegal alien from Mexico—who has been convicted three times for burglary and a DUI.
“At the California marijuana facilities, ICE and CBP law enforcement rescued at least 14 migrant children from what looks like exploitation, forced child labor, and potentially human trafficking or smuggling while facing assault and even gunfire. Our brave agents also arrested at least 361 illegal aliens—including criminals with convictions for rape, serial burglary, hit and run and DUIs” said McLaughlin. “As Secretary Noem stated, this is quickly becoming one of the largest operations since President Trump took office.”
During the operation, more than 500 anti-ICE agitators swarmed agents in an attempt to disrupt operations. Four U.S. citizens were arrested during the riot and are facing charges for assaulting or resisting officers.
The rioters damaged vehicles and one violent agitator was caught on video firing a gun at law enforcement officers.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the gunman.
One of the marijuana farm workers, Jaime Alanis Garcia, died in the hospital two days after he plunged from a roof amid the mayhem of the raid.
“Although he was not being pursued by law enforcement, this individual climbed up to the roof of a green house and fell 30 feet,” McLaughlin said in a statement. “CBP immediately called a medivac to the scene to get him care as quickly as possible.”
Democrat Congressman Salud Carbajal (CA) joined the riot and doxxed an ICE employee by giving the agent’s business card to a group of left-wing rioters, ICE posted on X, Sunday.
“Rep. Salud Carbajal was part of a violent mob of protestors attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility,” the ICE X account reported. “He cites ‘peaceful’ protestors, when in fact these rioters were launching rocks at officers, injuring at least one ICE employee who was left bloody.”
According to agents on the ground, the congressman doxed that same ICE employee by sharing his business card with members of the violent mob.
THIS is precisely the rhetoric that has led to orchestrated attempts to murder officers and a 700% increase in officer assaults.
May the congressman’s constituency always remember he chooses violence over the rule of law.
McLaughlin slammed Democrats and their agitators on the streets for the ongoing violence against ICE and Border Patrol.
“One of the representatives who was actually on the ground during those riots in California, he went on to dox one of out law enforcement agents,” the DHS spox told Fox News Monday, referring to Carbajal. “We’re seeing that their families are being targeted, their children are being targeted and being put online where they go to school, where their spouses work.”
McLaughlin said the Democrat-fueled insurrection against Trump’s immigration policies “absolutely has to stop.”
“We need to see politicians like Gavin Newsom, not only thank law enforcement, but QUIT the demonization because it is leading to despicable, disgusting actions by these rioters and activists,” the spokeswoman stated.
