NextImg:How ‘Tampon Tim’ Walz Earned His Unfortunate Nickname

Minnesota Governor and presumptive Democratic VP pick Tim Walz is discovering that some of his past policies are tougher to flush down the memory hole than others.

The unflattering nickname ‘Tampon Tim’ began trending on X Tuesday, shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris announced Walz as her running mate.

It’s a reference to a bill signed by Governor Walz mandating that schools in Minnesota provide menstrual products in all student restrooms grades four through twelve, including boys restrooms.

Left wing media outlets were quick to portray Walz’s policy to supply feminine hygiene products all restrooms as a compassionate move and to denounce GOP detractors for bringing attention to it.

However, compassionate or not, two notable problems remain.

First, boys don’t menstruate, as a matter of natural biology, and therefore don’t need access to menstrual products in their restrooms. In spite of this reality, Governor Walz has surrounded himself with supporters of radical gender ideology and even signed a bill making Minnesota a “sanctuary state” for child transgender surgeries.

Second, it’s not the job of government, at any level, to provide menstrual products by forcing taxpayers to pay for them. Even if a tiny minority of individuals are operating under the delusion that they might magically get their period by changing their biological gender through willpower alone.

It’s unrealistic and irresponsible to force taxpayers to pay for reinforcing a radical ideology that is being forced on them.

If this policy is any indication of what can be expected of Tim Walz’s leadership and decision-making skills should the Democratic ticket prevail in November, we’re in serious trouble.
