A vote to vacate the chair of U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) could come as early as next week as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) promises to act on her Motion to Vacate.

Greene has been threatening to call for a vote to vacate the Speaker’s chair for several weeks and appears to be ready to let the American people see who stands with the Uniparty and who stands with the people.

The Georgia Congresswoman held a press conference on Jeffries’ endorsement of Johnson yesterday.

Republican infighting has threatened the tenuous GOP majority in the House of Representatives but Greene and others like Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) maintain that a House Speaker who is under the control of the Democrats is not offering any alternative to the Uniparty agenda.

Massie echoes Greene’s call for members of Congress to go on the record and choose whether they serve the Uniparty or the people.

The vote is expected to fail due to the Democratic Caucus rallying in support of Johnson but Greene has not indicated whether she will force repeated votes if the measure fails next week.

Greene’s Motion to Vacate the Speaker’s chair originally stemmed from backlash earlier this year from the Conservative Caucus over Johnson’s failure to put the brakes on government spending.
