In a campaign stunt that quickly went viral, former President Donald Trump spent some time working at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, including the fry station and the drive-thru.

As reported by Breitbart, the former president’s decision to work behind the counter at the popular fast food restaurant was in response to Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ (D-Calif.) claim that she once worked at a McDonald’s when she was younger, despite providing no proof of her employment. As Harris was called out as feigning relatability to working Americans with this lie, President Trump decided to show that he was more capable of working at a McDonald’s than she was.

Arriving Sunday at the McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, President Trump removed his suit jacket to put on an apron before he was instructed on how to prepare the iconic McDonald’s French fries.

As he donned the apron, Trump spoke to reporters about his fondness for the popular fast food chain, saying “I like it all. I like everything, but I do like the french fries.”

The former president then spent some time working in the drive-thru, handing meals to customers and telling them that he would pay for them. One customer became emotional as she pleaded with the former president to not let America become like Brazil, the country she immigrated from, with President Trump repeating his signature campaign pledge to make America great again.

Later seen leaning out of the drive-thru window, Trump told reporters that he “will never forget this experience,” and joked that he could see himself doing such a job after he retires from the presidency.

Images and videos of Trump working at the fry station, wearing the apron, and leaning out of the drive-thru quickly went viral, also becoming subject to memes and more artistic depictions of the former president and the fast food chain, including the iconic golden arches in the “M” as standing for “MAGA,” or incorporating the McDonald’s M into the Trump/Vance campaign logo.
