Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse told NBC News that they had never seen or heard of President Donald Trump engaging in inappropriate activity during the years they were being trafficked by the late disgraced financier.
NBC News host Hallie Jackson spoke with six survivors and three siblings of the late Virginia Giuffre, for an exclusive interview that aired Tuesday night. Guiffre, one of the most prominent and vocal accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, committed suicide on April 25, 2025.
The victims expressed deep frustration over the Trump administration’s failure to release unredacted records related to the case or a list of high-profile names and accused federal authorities of delaying justice.
They also claimed that many individuals were aware of and involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. They pointed out that Epstein threw many parties and charity events on his island involving powerful associates, some of whom knew about the abuse.
Wednesday morning, nearly 12 Epstein victims, including Giuffre’s relatives, held a news conference on Capitol Hill with lawmakers from both parties to demand the release of more of Epstein’s files.
Survivor Lisa Phillips called on the Trump administration to “end the secrecy and stand with us.”
“No one—no billionaires, no politicians, not world leaders—is above the law,” she declared, echoing a popular Democrat refrain aimed at President Trump.
Phillips announced that she and other survivors will be releasing their own client list.
“We know the names. Many of us were abused by them. Now, together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know were regularly in the Epstein world,” she stated, emphasizing that the list will be compiled “by survivors and for survivors” with no outside influence.
“Stay tuned for more details on that,” she said.
Phillips was among the victims who sat down with Jackson for the NBC interview yesterday. Others included Jess Michaels, Marijke Chartouni, Jenna-Lisa Jones, and Wendy Avis.
“Did anybody see or hear of the president himself doing anything inappropriate as related to Jeffrey Epstein?” Jackson asked the group.
Without hesitation, several of the women responded, “no.” [See below video beginning at 21:20].
The victims did however urge Trump to release any remaining case files and to pledge against pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, who was recently transferred to a less restrictive prison camp in Texas.
Maxwell, for her part, told Justice Department officials earlier this year that she also did not witness any inappropriate behavior by Trump.
Speaking at the news conference Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said naming the names of some of the richest and most powerful people in the world could be too daunting for the victims, but that she would be “proud” to name Epstein’s clients, using her shield from prosecution for statements made in Congress.
“I am not afraid to name names,” she said. “If they want to give me a list, I will walk in that Capitol, on the House floor and say every damn name that abused these women. I will be proud to do this,” she said.
Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) have introduced the Epstein List Transparency Act to force the federal government to release all unclassified records from the cases of Epstein and Maxwell.
“The truth needs to come out and the government holds the truth. The cases that are sealed hold the truth. Jeffrey Epstein’s estate holds the truth, the FBI, the DOJ, and the CIA hold the truth,” Greene declared.
Trump, meanwhile, appeared annoyed when asked about Epstein during his Oval Office meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, framing the issue as an “irrelevant” distraction from the successes of his administration.
“So this is a Democrat hoax that never ends,” Trump responded. “From what I understand—I can check—but I understand—thousands of pages of documents have been given, but it’s really a Democrat hoax because they’re trying to get people to talk about something that’s totally irrelevant to the success that we’ve had in the nation since I’ve become president.”
