Ed Henry is a well-known TV journalist and personality. Henry moderated Inside Politics for CNN, then became CNN’s senior White House correspondent in 2008. He moved to Fox News in 2011, where he continued as senior White House correspondent. He also worked for Fox and Friends Weekend and co-hosted America’s Newsroom with Sandra Smith. He now hosts America's News Headquarters with Ed Henry for NewsMax.
I was fortunate enough to bump into Henry on CPAC’s main hall, known as “Radio Row.” Today, it was crowded in anticipation of speeches by Tom Homan and President Trump.
I stopped Henry and said, “Hey, you are usually the interviewer. How about we flip the script, and I interview you?” He laughed, looked at his watch, and said, “Sure, what the heck!” The impromptu interview follows below.
In it, you’ll hear Henry speak about the fact that this is an unusual post-election CPAC. Usually, the buzz is a little subdued, even if a Republican wins, because victory has been achieved, and people relax a bit. This time around, exciting things are happening, and Henry is pleased with what Trump is doing, how he’s keeping his promises, and what kind of people are in his administration.
Henry’s an extremely informed and intelligent man, plus he speaks quickly. That means he was able to pack a lot of fascinating insights into just a few minutes.
