Hamas responded positively to President Donald Trump's proposal for peace in Gaza, though said more negotiations will be needed before a full agreement can be signed.

Hamas said it will release all remaining hostages if Israel withdraws from Gaza and "proper field conditions are met."

Egypt will host talks with Hamas and Israeli representatives in the Red Sea city of Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday.

Meanwhile, intense Israeli attacks on Gaza City -- the largest urban area in the Gaza Strip -- and elsewhere in the devastated Palestinian territory continued.
