An 11-year-old has been arrested for allegedly shooting two 13-year-olds during an altercation at football practice, authorities in Florida said.
The incident took place around 8:20 p.m. Monday at a recreation center football field in Apopka, which is about 20 miles outside of Orlando, police said.
The 11-year-old allegedly took a gun from a car and then fired one shot that hit both teens, according to Apopka police.

One 13-year-old was shot in the torso and underwent surgery, and is in stable condition, Apopka Police Chief Mike McKinley said at a news conference Tuesday.
The second 13-year-old was struck in the arm and has been released from the hospital, McKinley said.
The 11-year-old has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, the chief said, adding that "additional charges are probably pending against some adults."
"We shouldn't have 11-year-olds that have access to guns and think they can resolve a dispute with a firearm," McKinley said.
The gun has been secured, police said.
At least 1,327 children have been killed and another 3,580 have been injured by guns so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
